JD Ensor and Madeline Wodaski are jumping into the American dream at American University. Both students are looking forward to being so close to the powerhouse city of Washington, D.C.

Ensor plans to major in the interdisciplinary studies of Government, Law, Economics, and Communication, a perfect choice for a student who is commonly referred to by his peers as “the future president.”

Ensor has a passion for social studies.

“I’ve taken nearly every social studies class Linganore has to offer,” said Ensor. “I’ve definitely taken full advantage of my opportunities.”

In addition to school studies, Ensor often spends his free time at home studying history facts for fun.

He hopes to work in D.C., making American University a dream school.

“I’m so excited to be in D.C. for four years. I love the city so much,” said Ensor.

Sharing a passion for the city, Wodaski is thrilled to be studying so close to Washington, D.C.

“There’s only a twelve-minute Metro ride to the Capitol. I’ve already taken it and could probably tell you all of the stops,” said Wodaski.

She plans to study International Politics and Conflict Resolution. Being Vice President of the National French Honor Society, Wodaski wants to continue her French studies, so she will be minoring in the language.

She hopes to someday work in an embassy, saying that the way countries interact “fascinates her.”

Both students are hardworking and determined learners, but both are also excited for the fun that American has to offer.

They both jumped for joy and even giggled with excitement when talking about trick-or-treating at Embassy Row.

Good luck to these ‘all-American’ students!
