LHSsees2020: Emily Rieland will be free as a bird at Salisbury University

A little bird told me Emily Rieland is off to college…

Emily Rieland is about to be free as a bird, specifically a sea gull. This August, she will be attending Salisbury University.

Rieland, recognized as the Class of 2016 Class Clown, is best known for her charisma, silly sense of humor, and sweet demeanor. With these qualities, she’ll undoubtedly be a success as a Communications Arts major with a minor in marketing.

Rieland has been a part of the Unified Sports program throughout her four years. She hopes to continue to work with students with cognitive disabilities through Salisbury’s Best Buddies Program.

She hopes to also join a sorority and spend plenty of her free time at the beach in Ocean City, only a half hour away from campus.

Though she’s sad to leave her family and friends behind, especially her dog Larry, Rieland is looking forward to the new experiences college has to offer, specifically the food.
