Class of 2019 hosts fundraiser at California Tortilla: Photo of the Day: 3/19/16
On March 19th the Class of 2019 hosted a fundraiser at the popular restaurant California Tortilla. Students were told to just say “Linganore” when they placed their order so that 20% of the money they used to pay for their meal could go to the school and help raise money for the class.
The proceeds will benefit the Class of 2019 and they have also recently been brainstorming different ideas for service projects that they could do to help others in the community.
Earlier in the year the class also had a fundraiser at Jersey Mikes and are hoping that they get the chance to do another before the school year ends.
According to member, Anne Cameron their main focus, “Is still to contribute and give back to the community.”
Overall the event brought in a lot of Lancers and will certainly help the class in their future endeavors.
If you’d like to help out the class be sure to go to future fundraisers and show your support.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Linganore High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase camera/recording equipment and software. We hope to raise enough money to re-start a monthly printed issue of our paper.
