The boys JV lacrosse team ended their season undefeated.  Coached by Dave Kenski and assisted by Joey Jenkins, not only did the 10 sophomores and 15 freshman win all of their games, but they beat each team by an average of 15 goals.

Drew Tillman (freshman), Sam Honchalk (sophomore) and Jack Watsic (freshman) are the team’s top scorers with a combined average shots on goal percent of 75%.

“It was a great season. I can’t wait until next year,” says Honchalk.

Devin Beck (sophomore) Michael Boyd (sophomore) and Michael Conners (sophomore) won 60% of the faceoffs and sent the ball down on offense to score.

“It all starts with the face off. It can be a lot of pressure but I love the adrenaline rush,”says Beck.

Freshman Erick Stutz ended the season with an average of four checks a game and a total of 23 forced turnovers.

“We really set the bar for future teams to come. It’s been a great season,” says Stutz.

The closest game was against Walkersville with a final score of 9-3. The Lancers beat school rival Urbana, with an astounding score of 16-1. Their last game of the season was against South Carroll with a final score of 16-5.

Sophomore goalie Kyle Browne had two shut out games. One of the games was against South Hargerstown with a final score of 15-0 and the other game was against Thomas Johnson with a final score of 22-0

“We worked hard in practice and it really showed on the field. Because of our hard work this was JV’s second year in a row being undefeated,” says Browne.

A 12-0 season means that next year’s varsity lacrosse team will be a potential powerhouse.
