Students prepare to participate in the Unified Track and Field Meet at Urbana High School
To kick off the season of spring athletics, Lancers on the Unified Track and Field team met with other teams in Frederick at Urbana High School where they participated in competitive track and field time trials.
Unified track isn’t just about the athletics, nor is it about winning. Building social skills, meeting new people, and making special needs students feel more comfortable are a few non-competitive goals of the Unified Track and Field Team.
The next Unified Track and Field meet will be at Linganore High School on Wednesday, April 8th. The meet will start at 3:30.
