JV field hockey team plays South Carroll: Photo of the Day 9/18/15
Field hockey players begin their game against South Carroll.
On September 15, JV Field Hockey team played against South Carroll High School at Linganore’s stadium.
For the whole game, the action was closer to the Lancer’s goal, giving South Carroll an advantage. South Carroll scored twice by half time, but the Lancers still hadn’t scored yet. Their disadvantage caused the second half of the game to be more intense.
Though the Lancer team did get more action in the second half, they didn’t get to score. The game ended with South Carroll 5-0.
“We practice five times a week,” says Ms. Jessica Dillon, field hockey coach and forensic science and ICP teacher. “The varsity team practices six times a week, I think it’s better for the JV team, who practice five times a week, so they get two days of rest.”
Our team may have lost this time, but there will still be many more games and practices in the future.
