On Monday, May 19, 2014 the Latin Club celebrated their year full of accomplishments. Parents and students gathered in adviser Deborah Carter’s classroom during first period for awards and cake. Members received awards for scores on national tests, such as National Latin Exam and the Medusa Etymology Exam. The club also received recognition for placing third in every Latin certamina (competition) they attended.

The cake was decorated with the Latin Club motto, “Parvus Sed Potens,” which means small but powerful. The club had fewer than 15 members this year but received many awards and recognition. The cake also featured the design on the Latin Club’s banner.
