As we glide past midterm, the spring semester is only starting for the Little Lancers Preschool!

On March 1, the Little Lancers Preschool hosted a Dr. Seuss-themed open house.  While the parents were being informed of the classroom routines, the Little Lancers played various Dr. Seuss-themed games.

The day started with the reading of “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish,” a classic Dr. Seuss picture book.  Then, the children dispersed to whichever activity they pleased.  These activities included: sorting goldfish, designing their own Cat in the Hat hat, playing with Play-Doh, becoming a pizza chef in their own restaurant, and shopping for groceries in the grocery store dramatic play center.

“I really liked getting to know the children and watching them interact with their parents,” says senior Kaycee Oland.

Child Development teacher Kate Lane and her students have been preparing for the open house since day one of the new semester.  Students have prepared lessons, games, and dramatic play centers for the Little Lancers to learn with.

Seventeen Little Lancers will begin learning and playing on Wednesday, March 3  Welcome back Little Lancers!
