Week 5 was all Team Nolan’s week, blowing out Team Byrd 198.3-145.4. With this big win, Team Nolan sits at 3-2, and hopes to continue the winning streak this upcoming week. If he is to win Week 6, the momentum will be on his side.

The main reason why Team Nolan has the highest points in Journalism history is because of the RB´s and WR´s. Todd Gurley II (33.3 points) and Saquon Barkley (28.9 points) combined for 62.2 points. Antonio Brown scored 28.9 points along with DeAndre Hopkins 22.1 points, but the WR with the best overall performance was Odell Beckham Jr. Odell threw a touchdown, received 2 touchdowns, and had a total of 8 receptions for 131 yards. Besides Gurley II, Odell was the only other player to break 30 points with 31.4.

Team Byrd’s loss was because of his wide receivers and running backs performances. While running back, Melvin Gordon did earn 22 points. Alvin Kamara really under-performed with 6.9 points, which is his season low. Receivers Julio Jones and A.J. Green combined for a measly 28.4 points with Jones himself only scoring 11 points. With most of Team Nolan’s players earning over 20 points this week, Team Byrd’s loss was a tough pill to swallow with most of his team not playing to all-star caliber.

Week 5 may have been a hiccup for Team Byrd, but Team Nolan’s performance proved Byrd otherwise. With the changes made last week on Team Nolan’s roster, he looks to keep it the same way. Except for the Eagles’defense. They were the only spot on the roster that put up a sub par performance, and it could be a factor coming up in the new week. The Jaguars defense will be replacing them, and with this only change Team Nolan hopes to take a commanding lead in Week 6.

Going into Week 6, Team Byrd is making key changes. Team Byrd brings in receiver Adam Thielen, the only player in the Super Bowl era to record 100+ receiving yards in the first five games of the season. Gordon will start again this week after another week performance from Zeke Elliott. Thielen will take Zeke’s spot at the FLEX position this week. With Kamara, Michael Thomas, and Brees all on their bye week, hopefully Aaron Rodgers can take advantage of the 49ers’ defense and dominate.
