Generation Z will succeed even without computers!

In our story “What has our generation lost? Gen Z is in trouble”, we wrote about how this new generation is lacking social and life skills. Gen Zers are in a hurry, not for purposeful reasons, but for selfish and problematic reasons instead. Yet the quick pace movement isn’t necessarily a hurry to use technology as a mask but instead a hurry to use technology as a platform to inspire and encourage others born within the years of 1995-2010.

Generation Z  has many good qualities such as multitasking, advanced starts in education,  more entrepreneurial skills, and more open-mindedness. Gen Zers can do more than swipe right or left on life. But our generation is way more than that.

According to an infographic from Visioncritical,by Kevin Claveria“Millennials have taken over both the work and marketplace; meanwhile, Generation Z is hot on their heels!”

Millennials and Generation Z are often compared and contrasted; however, iGen has grown a thick layer of confidence that they don’t let the remarks of other influence the way that they act or react.

Multitasking is more than just texting and tweeting at the same time.

iGen has the brilliant skill of multitasking. The fact that this generation was able to turn a negative name, iGen into a proud and powerful name is a primary source for their skill. Maybe there seems to be a lack of focus, but that can be a strength–multi-focus.

Margaret Apau said, “Focus may not be visible at all times, but when it is visible, the potential is limitless.”

However, when Gen Zers put their minds to a task, their ability to shift and complete it amazing.

Deep Patel, a contributor at Forbes, said “These young people have always lived in a connected world, and they’re used to constant updates from dozens of apps. Switching between different tasks and paying simultaneous attention to a wide range of stimuli comes naturally to them”

This is all because of technology! This task of multitasking is so essential because when at the workplace, when there is limited time to complete a task, technology makes it so simple to have easy access to the task and be able to complete it in that limited span of time.

Generation Z has the great quality of advanced education.

Andrew Josuweit,  a contributor at Forbes said “It is easy to say that Generation Z students prefer the phone both inside and out of the classroom”

Other millennials have viewed college as an escape, leaving family behind and being on their own. However, iGen views college as a platform and opportunity to expand their horizons and take control of their lives.

Generation Z, iGen, millenials on steriods, and Snapchat Generation or whatever you want to call us. Our generation definitely has its ups and downs, but so has every other generation. So, all in all Generation Z definitely is a bit different than previous generations, but is that such a bad thing? While we have our faults we also bring new ideas to the table, and we’re helping the world advance in both mental and technological ideas.
