The Center for Women in Technology (CWIT) at UMBC is pleased to invite high-achieving high school girls who are interested in pursuing computing and engineering majors to campus for a couple of events this fall. Many programs are available to sign up for, including the Cyber 101 Program for interest in computing and the field of cybersecurity, Building Excellence through Scholarships in Technology, and possible visits to students’ schools from UMBC CWIT students. Musicians interested in auditioning for All-State or All-County Ensembles should sign up for more information in the D Wing. Band students may sign up for All-State or All-County Band information in the band room. Orchestra and Chorus students should see Mr. Dye for more information about state and county auditions for those groups. Please let Mr. Lloyd or Mr. Dye know of your interest by the end of this week.

If you bought a 2018 yearbook, please stop by during your lunch outside the cafeteria and pick up your spring supplement. Or, stop by room A206 after the 12th to pick your supplement up. Senior picture makeup day is Sept 26 and 27.  Appointments will be sent directly from Victor O’Neill Studios and will occur between 2:15-8:30 PM. Please see Mrs. Cline in the front office for your time or call directly at the number below. You must have VOS take your picture to be included in the yearbook. Yearbook poses must be selected by Oct 31

All Current National English Honors Society members will meet on Thursday, September thirteenth during PREP in C207.  All eligible students interested in joining National English Honors Society will meet next week on Monday and Tuesday.  Sign up to be called for PREP outside C207.

If you’re a student driver, don’t forget to purchase a 2018-2019 student parking permit. Applications are available in the front office or on the LHS website. The cost is $20.  If you have any questions or concerns, Please see Mrs. Cline in the front office.

Its that time of the year! Auditions for the fall play, Almost Maine, are being held Tomorrow form 2:30 to 8 in room D101. Be sure to have a short monologue prepared for your audition. Break a leg, Lancers!  

Linganore Golf lost its first match against Urbana on Tuesday at Holly Hills Country Club with the score of one hundred sixty nine to one hundred fifty one. The team is now six and one. However, the Medalist was our Ryan McFadden with a thirty six, and freshman Ethan Crabb shot a forty three.
