Tomorrow is Fair day! FCPS students get free admission into the fair tomorrow only! Here is why you should checkout the fair!

The forty-fifth annual linganore community show begins on september 30th. Everyone is welcome to participate in this event that will showcase our communities best photography, baking, gardening, and more. This event will also have various games to participate in and plenty of food to enjoy.

The Science National Honor Society will meet this Friday, September 21st in Room A139 during PREP.  Students can pick up an application outside of Room A139.

Hey Lancers, Interested in getting hands on experience with National Security?  Interested in pursuing a career in conflict resolution, national security and communication? If you are see Mr. Burch about being nominated for the National Youth Leadership Forum: National Security for Diplomacy, Intelligence and Defense!  So please join past Lancers in this great opportunity! The deadline is this Friday the 21st!

This week marks the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. We will be recognizing those of Hispanic descent who have accomplished amazing things during their lifetime. Today we will be acknowledging ​Sonia Sotomayor, who was the first hispanic supreme court justice sworn in in 2009.

The poll of the week is favorite fair activity: rides, food, exhibits, or entertainment. You can vote online by checking out lhs journalism on twitter.

Congratulations to Ryan Mondonedo for winning one of the 2018 character Counts awards at the Frederick fair! Also,great job to Taylor Carbaugh, Devin Wynne, Caroline Pellicier, Mikayla Jordan, Sam Curley, Peyton Marth, Alexa Bonney, Emma Baker for also being recognised at the FFA Greenhand Ceremony.

The Linganore robotics team, Bovine Intervention, will be competing this weekend, September 22nd at McDonough High School. They will be competing against other teams in the Maryland-Virginia area in an event called Battle O´ Baltimore. Good luck Lancers!!

Jostens will be here on Thursday, September 20 and Friday, September 21 during all lunch shifts to take orders for class rings. You can also order online at Jostens.com. If you did not receive a packet to place an order and would like to , please see Ms. Cline in the front office.

Student drivers will need to purchase a parking pass and park only in Authorized Student Parking. The cost is $20. Parking applications can be found in the front office. Students without a parking pass will be ticketed beginning Friday.

The Linganore Marching band competed at Liberty High School last Saturday, September 15th. They placed first in their group with a score of 78.06. Fantastic work Lancers!!
