Juniors who are interested in science, medicine, computer programming, IT, computer graphics, bioinformatics, security, or scientific writing can apply for a paid internship with the National Cancer Institute at Ft. Detrick. The deadline for the application is December 14. See any science teacher or stop by C103 and talk to Mr. Brown or Ms. Radil-Harris for details. 

Juniors and Seniors interested in speaking with colleges, the following colleges will be visiting Linganore during PREP.  St. Mary’s College on Monday, October 29th and Mount Saint Mary’s on Tuesday, October 30th. Sign up today in Naviance or stop by Student Services to learn more.

Tomorrow, members of the Science National Honor Society have an opportunity to earn 3 community service hours at the Audrey Carroll Audubon Sanctuary from 9 to 12. Students are reminded to bring work gloves and trash cans for debris.

Seniors, Please be sure you select your yearbook pose through Victor O’Neill studios by Oct 31, otherwise, a default photo will appear in the yearbook. Your Senior Quote form is due by November 1 to Mrs. Bozzonetti in room A206. Be sure your name is on the form.

Girls varsity field hockey won 1 to nothing against Poolesville in playoffs. Great job lancers!

The football game for tonight has been postponed until tomorrow due to weather, this will also be a home game now rather than at Tuscarora.

Girls varsity volleyball played last night at Smithsburg against Smithsburg and lost 3-0. Better luck next time lancers.
