With two days left of school for the seniors, the three senior trumpet players are playing their way through. Their last concert for Symphonic Band was earlier this month, on May 4th. The last Jazz Ensemble (with Naomi and Duncan) was on May 9th.

All three participated in marching and concert band throughout their four years at Linganore.

Trumpet section leader Naomi Conaway is heading to Towson University in fall to begin studying music education.

Naomi said, “I’m going to miss most my trumpet section friends. Leaving them will be the most difficult thing about leaving the band, but I’m excited to make new friends in college.”

For Sara Temple, the answer for what she was going to miss the most was simple.

“I’m going to miss my friends the most,” she remarked.

Sara plans to start at Frederick Community College next fall for two years to study biology and then hopes to transfer to the University of Maryland.

Duncan Zeller added, “I’m going to miss being able to see my friends everyday.”

Duncan plans on also attending Towson University to study nursing in the fall.
