“Are you a pumpkin spice lover? Or hater?” In a Lancer Media poll, there are many more lovers than haters.

Nearly half of the respondents are in love with all prospects of pumpkin spice while 26% of respondents are haters. The rest of respondents were only partially in like, preferring some drinks or foods with pumpkin spice flavoring.

The remaining respondents were only in the ‘first date stage’ of love for specific foods or drinks with pumpkin spice flavoring.

The most loved food was, with no surprise, pumpkin pie. If you’re an avid pumpkin pie lover, here is an easy Pumpkin Pie recipe you might make:

Ingredients you will need:

Instructions for making and baking:

“MIX sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger and cloves in small bowl. Beat eggs in large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk.

POUR into pie shell.

BAKE in preheated 425° F oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350° F; bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Serve immediately or refrigerate. Top with whipped cream before serving.”

The most loved drink with pumpkin spice flavoring was the Pumpkin Spice Latte, most commonly known as ‘PSL’. Do you love PSL, but hate having to spend the money and time at starbucks to get it? If so, here is a home-made PSL recipe you can try…

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons pure pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus more for sprinkling
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup hot espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • Sweetened whipped cream, for serving

Instructions:

“Combine the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice and vanilla in a medium microwave safe bowl, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and vent with a small hole. Microwave until the milk is hot, 1 to 2 minutes. Whisk vigorously until the milk mixture is foamy, about 30 seconds.
Pour the espresso or coffee into a large mug and add the foamed milk. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.”
