Senior Amy Safsten is the SSL for Mrs. Samantha Hartman, and for her SSL project, Safsten has designed the annual Distinguished Graduate showcase.  After months of planning, she and a team of DGO committee members, assembled the display on Main Street.  Mrs. Kay Horr, Mrs. Pamela Knight, and Mrs. Natalie Rebetsky helped Safsten put it all together.

The display case features six panels–one for each of the honorees.  The honorees include Barbara Nash (Academics), Ryan Green (Athletics), Tom Rinker (Business), Crystal Thompson (Public Service), Adam Plesniak (Sciences), and Michael Tully (Arts and Humanities).

“I was given resumes for all of them,” said Safsten. After interviewing each honoree and studying yearbooks and internet resources, she had to write biographies for each.  Safsten had to collect memorabilia for the visual display, including jerseys, instruments, shoes, trophies, and more.

The display case is under the stairs in the main hallway. The Distinguished Graduate ceremony is on Tuesday, November 25 at 9 a.m. All members of the freshman class will be in attendance.
