On Tuesday April 28, 2015 the girls varsity lacrosse team celebrated their six seniors: Ally Coggins, Kelly Angeletti, Taylor Wheelock, Natalie Rupinski, Haley Twillman, and Mary Caffrey. The night of reminiscing had both coaches and players in tears.

The game opened with the seniors being escorted by their families with announcements highlighting their high school accomplishments. They ended the big night with presents for the seniors and cake.

The girls began their game and defeated the FSK Eagles 16-9. At one point in the game the girls even got a running clock because they were up by 10 points!

Wheelock says,” Lacrosse taught me how to become a leader, and it taught me how to push myself and to believe in myself. Lacrosse is one of the things I will miss about high school!”

Players, coaches and parents all became emotional about the seniors graduating.

Coach Jackie Sowers has coached these girls since she began her high school coaching experiences. These six ladies were the first group of girls that she saw from beginning to end. She said, “I’ve seen all their improvements, hard work, and dedication and got to watch them grow into wonderful young women. I wish them all the luck in the world as they take their next step!”

Ally Coggins will be attending Wheeling Jesuit University to play lacrosse. Kelly Angeletti will be attending York University . Taylor Wheelock will be attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Haley Twillman and Natalie Rupinski will both be attending Virginia Tech. Mary Caffery will be attending University of Maryland.
