Lancer Spotlight 5/3/23: ‘The Little Mermaid’ spirit week has students swimming in school spirit

From April 24 to April 28, Linganore drama held a “The Little Mermaid”-themed spirit week to get students in the “under the sea” spirit and ready to see the school’s production of the beloved Disney musical.
Monday was Hawaiian/beach day, Tuesday was Disney day, Wednesday was class color day, Thursday was anything but a snarfblatt (backpack) day, and lastly, Friday was fish out of water (mismatch) day.
Linganore French teacher, Stephanie Stolz, participated in many of the spirit week days.
“I think it was really fun how they did the themed days: how they titled the anything but a backpack day, like, anything but a snarfblatt day and the class colors were based around the colors that you see in the movie and also the musical,” said Stolz. “I think it did help build the excitement [around the musical] a little bit.”
