Morning Announcements: May 16, 2022

**For any students interested in joining the National Art Honor Society for next  year we will have a meeting on Thur May 19th after school from 2:30 – 3:00 in  A211. Any current member interested in being an officer, we will stay from 3:00- 3:30. It is open to sophomores- seniors who plan on having at least 3 credits of  art by the time they graduate and maintain a 3.0 in their art classes. Students  must have completed 1 art class to join. **Attention Seniors…Please listen carefully!!! 

All Senior Chromebooks will be collected TODAY & TOMORROW, May 16th & 17th.  Please bring your FCPS issued Chromebook with you to school along with your  case and charger(s). Any items not returned or damaged will be charged to your  account. All payments for these charges are due PRIOR TO graduation. You should report to room B205 according to the following schedule: Monday May 16th 1st Block Last names A-D 

Monday May 16th 2nd Block Last names E-J 

Tuesday May 17th 1st Block Last names K-P 

Tuesday May 17th 2nd Block Last names R-Z 

PLEASE BE SURE YOUR CHROMEBOOK IS CHARGED & READY PRIOR TO COMING  TO SCHOOL ON YOUR DESIGNATED TURN IN DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

**ALL ART STUDENTS, ESPECIALLY FROM THE FALL SEMESTER ART CLASSES,  PLEASE COME PICK UP YOUR ARTWORK FROM THE ART DEPARTMENT AS SOON  AS POSSIBLE. WORK THAT IS NOT CLAIMED BY THE END OF THE YEAR WILL BE  DISCARDED!!! THANK YOU FROM ART DEPARTMENT TEACHERS 

**In other Art news, Sydney Spradlin received one of 25 runner-up awards that  were just announced at the 8th district Congressional Virtual Art show &  competition for her digital illustration called Words Like Knives. Way to go  Sydney!

**If you see Madelyn Beckman in class or in the halls, give her a massive  congratulations! She was selected as Honorable Mention by the Maryland Dance  Education Association for the 2022 MDEA Artistic Merit, Leadership and  Academic Achievement Award. This is a prestigious award that is only bestowed  on a handful of students. Way to go Madelyn!!!
