**On Friday, LHS students competed in the first Chess Tournament. There were  many hard-fought battles and fun was had by all. The results for the competition  was as follows; Dimitri Raush-Gernet won first prize, Caleb Morris came in  second, & Joshua Barnes placed third. If you see any of these students in the  halls, congratulate them on their strong performances.

** Congratulations to the Linganore Boys Track & Field team for all their  performances this past Saturday at the Urbana Invitational. The team finished as  team champions, with a field of over 25 teams competing. The team was led by  middle distance runners Jack Sears and Sam Metzner. Andrew Moxley, Kelsey  Bannon & Quinn Ruch provided important points too in the hurdles, high jump and  pole vault respectively.
