Today is Wednesday January 5th, 2022.

Come out to Walkersville tonight to cheer on Linganore Swim & Dive as we take  on Frederick and celebrate Senior Night! Meet starts at 7:00 Senior recognitions  start at 6:40.

Do you think you have what it takes to be the next Mr. Linganore? Interested in  having a great experience with other seniors? Ready to make life-long memories  & have fun too? Then you need to come to our 2022 Mr. Linganore meeting on  January 12th. Anyone interested in being a contestant for this year’s contest  should plan to attend on Wednesday, the 12th, 2:30 PM in Mr. Brown’s room,  C101. Any questions or for more info see Mr. Brown.

Students: Volunteerism in America started with Benjamin Franklin in  1736. How can YOU keep the tradition of Volunteerism alive in our country  today? The local Lions Club is sponsoring an essay contest to answer that  question. The Deadline is January 13. Please see Mrs. Rebetsky in C207 or  Schoology Message Mrs. Rebetsky for more details. Everyone is eligible to  enter. Juniors who are getting ready for the college application process may find  this especially helpful as it is a prompt that is similar to the questions on your  Common Application.

Attention Linganore Students: Starting 6:00 January 6th through January 27th  voting is open for student member of the board of education. Links are available  through QR code on the numerous posters throughout the building or will be  shared with you by your teachers. Get out and rock the vote! https://tinyurl.com/2022smob

Linganore High School is happy to announce that our own Kate Stadter is the  winner of the DAR, Daughters of the American Revolution, Good Citizens Program  and Scholarship Contest for Senior students. Kate’s award-winning essay will  now pit her against other winners at the state level with the opportunity to then  compete on the national level. Congratulations Kate!

That’s all the news for today. Have a wonderful day, Linganore!
