Morning Announcements: September 28, 2021

**Underclass photos will be taken September 30 and October 1st. If  you did not receive a pass to have your photo taken, please check  with your 4th period teacher. Make sure to report to the Auditorium at  your assigned time. Please be sure to social distance while you wait  for your turn to be photographed. See Mrs. Hardister in room E130  with any questions or concerns. 

**Attention String Orchestra Students for next semester: Mr. Dye  would like to offer an opportunity for the Orchestra to perform in the  Winter Concert on December 2nd. If interested, please plan to attend  our first meeting on Thursday September 30 from 2:30 – 4pm in Mr.  Dye’s room D113. See Mr. Dye for more details. 

**Attention Orchestra and Choir Students: If you are interested in  Auditions for All-County Choir, All-County Orchestra, and All-State  Ensembles, please see or contact Mr. Dye by the end of this week. 

**Attention Concert Choir Students: If you are interested in  performing with the Choir for the Winter Concert on December 2nd,  please see or contact Mr. Dye by the end of this week in room D113. 

**Attention Band Students! Sign-up sheets are available in the band  room for All-County Band, All-State Band, Towson University Honor  Band & Shepherd University Honor Band. If interested in any of these  groups, please sign up by Friday, October 1.

**The Model UN club will be meeting on Thursday, September 30th  during PREP in room D101. Please see Mrs. Smithhisler with any  questions. 

**Congratulations on a tremendous effort yesterday at Black Rock for  the 3A/4A District Golf tournament. Linganore finished 2nd in the  District tournament with a 307, behind Urbana who shot 303. This  means that Linganore High School will be participating as a team–and  as individuals–in the Maryland State Championship!

Senior Austin May, 74 

Senior Ethan Crabb, 80 

Senior Bradley Rose, 81 

Honorable mention for close to qualifying as an individual, Junior  Logan Parish, 83 

**Homecoming Updates

Great to see the banners back on Main Street! Here are the judges  results: 3rd place- Class of 2025 

 2nd place- Class of 2024,  

 first place- Class of 2022.

Thank you to everyone for taking part in USA Day today. Help your  class score points and wear your favorite jersey for tomorrow’s  Jersey Day.  

If you pre-ordered a Homecoming t-shirt, please stop to pick it up on  Main Street during lunch. We do have a limited number of extra shirts  available for purchase. Cost is $15. Get ’em while they last!
