**Attention all students! Our new tutoring center, The Lancer Lair, is  hosting a Logo Design Contest. Interested students should design a  logo for the tutoring enter and submit the image using the QR code on  the flyers posted around the school. Designs are due by September  20th. The winner will receive a cash prize and the logo will be used to  represent our tutoring center. The contest is open to all students.  See Mrs. Ecalono or Mrs. Weiss with any questions! 

**The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is pleased to  announce an opportunity for two Maryland students to participate in  the 2022 United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP). The one-week  program provides an opportunity for students to meet with legislative,  executive, and judicial leaders to discuss political issues that affect  our nation. The 2022 USSYP program will be held in-person or virtually  from March 5 – 12, 2022. This program, now in its 60th year, is fully  funded by the William Randolph Hearst Foundation. The USSYP has an  excellent reputation for providing outstanding student leaders a  unique experience in understanding our nation’s political process.  Each participant also receives a one-time $10,000 undergraduate  college scholarship and is encouraged to pursue coursework in history  and political science.
