**Come join the Trunk or Treating fun at Linganore on Friday, October  29th, hosted by the Linganore Drama Boosters. We are looking for  families, school groups, community groups, sports teams, & local  businesses to decorate trunks (or tables) & hand out candy to  students from New Market & Liberty Elementary Schools. Spaces are  FREE but limited, so please reserve yours now! Email Mrs. Smithhisler  or stop by D101 to reserve your spot for this fun event.

**National English Honor Society Acceptances:

The Linganore chapter of NEHS received over 50 applications. Letters  of acceptance were mailed home this week. If you applied to NEHS, & you have not received a letter by the end of next week (October 22),  please contact Mrs. Rebetsky via email at

[email protected]. Our first activity is supporting the Drama  club’s Trunk or Treat event.

**Lancer Media Celebration:

This week, Lancer Media took a celebratory walk in recognition of  earning our second badge, Continuous Coverage. This is the first time  in 7 years that we have earned this badge in the first semester, & it  makes us hungry for the next four badges toward “Distinguished Site”  recognition. We are #8 on the national leaderboard & hoping to climb  even higher. Thank you to all of the journalists who pitched in to make  the badge happen.
