Senior Countdown 2019: softball swings away with 17 days left
With just 17 days left in the school year, varsity softball seniors are excited to finish out high school and their last softball seasons at LHS.
Paige Wilhelm and Sam Everett are attending Chowan University and Bridgewater College respectively. Both girls signed in February to continue their softball carrers at their colleges.
Courtney Larrick is also attending Bridgewater college. Makayla Glock, Emily Day, and Annabelle Stone are continuing their education at Frederick Community College. MaKenzie Llewellyn is attending Penn State Mont Alto.
These girls have made a strong team and have formed bonds over the last four years. When these seniors were just Freshmen, their junior varsity team achieved an undefeated season and have continued to be a strong team.
“I’m going to miss all of the people at Linganore. I’m going to miss all of my teachers, because they were always so supportive. As for softball, I’m going to miss the friendships I made. We’re not going to see each other everyday anymore, so it’ll be hard, but we’re going to stay in contact.” Said captain and catcher MaKenzie Llewellyn.
The girls celebrate their senior night on April 29 in a game against Tuscarora. Come out and support the seniors and the team!
Your donation will support the student journalists of Linganore High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase camera/recording equipment and software. We hope to raise enough money to re-start a monthly printed issue of our paper.
