Amanda Drake is planning on attending James Madison University and majoring in special education. She chose this destination because she had always wanted to work with kids and James Madison University has a great program.

Drake knows their will be some challenging times but knows their will be people to help guide her through. She finds there are many resources that are offered and JMU and will help her throughout her time there.

Throughout Drake’s journey in high school she had been part of the Poms team and the National Honor Society.

She would like to thank her mom and siblings for supporting her with everything she does and her friends for also being her family.

Drake feels ready for college, but will miss the people that made the journey in high school so special.

“Make sure you have fun while you can, it goes by way too quick.” said Drake.
