On August 23rd, 2018, varsity football team went head-to-head against the Williamsport Wildcats in pre-season play.  The final score was 38-0.

Senior quarterback Ryan Leyh threw for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Jackson Ambush had two goal-line touchdowns along with running backs Xander McClure and Joey Bruscia combined for 189 yards.

“Our o-line this is a bit bigger than last years’,” said Ambush. With big bodies like Tre Briscoe helping to lead the offensive line, the offense this year should be very effective.

McClure said, “The line this year is looking crazy. They’re giving me holes and shut down the defensive lineman going to Clemson.”

Not only is the offense looking nice, the defense might be even better. With a front 7 containing Ambush, Cole Mitchell, the Bromley twins, and Dustin Keith, the pass rush on the defense should be amazing.

Ambush said, “We have a lot more leadership and chemistry this year but we still need work; taking it one game at a time.”
