On January 10, the boys JV basketball game ended in a loss against the Tuscarora Titans. This was the JV team’s ninth game of this season. Their record stands at 3-6.

The Titans took the lead early on in the game with the half-time score at 18-26.

After halftime, the Lancers still had the chance to catch up but were not able to gain a lead over the Titans. Their offense and defense stalled.

The final score was 61-36.

The Titans are 7-4.

Two top scorers of the night were Graeson Ruch, member of the Class of 2020 and Garrett Swartzbeck, also a member of the Class of 2020. Being one of the two strongest players on the team, they worked hard to score as many points as possible.

Torbyn Eakins, member of the Class of 2018 and center position on the team said, “We lost because of our lack of effort. We didn’t take care of the ball good enough and we also didn’t crash the boards defensively very good either.”

Their next game is at Frederick High School on January 19 at 5:30.
