Picture day comes early in the year for many underclassmen.  Luckily, they still have their back-to-school haircuts and clothes.

Early Thursday morning September 20, freshmen piled into the auditorium to get their first high school picture taken. Some nervous, some excited, and some not wanting to be there at all. Some students take time to prepare for picture day while others pick out an outfit the morning of.

Freshman Connor Jackson said, “It took me 5-10 minutes to pick out something the night before. For me, it doesn’t take much time.”

Other students took up to 30 or even 45 minutes to get ready. Victor O’Neill Studios is taking LHS school pictures for their tenth consecutive year.

Half of the sophomore class and the freshman class has pictures on September 20. Tomorrow on the 21, the other half of the sophomore class and the juniors will have their photos.  Senior picture retakes come later in the month.

After each photo, the photographers at the three stations on the auditorium stage gave each student a plastic identification card with the new school photo–no more waiting for weeks to see how the photo turned out.
