Over winter break, the boys and girls basketball teams went to the Governor’s Challenge (@GovChallenge) near Salisbury.

The boys won both of their games and their bracket. The boys played well in both of their games.

Christian Nolan, a member of the boys team said, “Obviously, there are things to work on, but overall we played very well, especially with the competition we were going up against. We just have to bring the momentum with us going forward in the regular season as well as the post season.”

The girls won their first game and lost their second game. The second game was against McDonogh. It was a rough game but the girls fought hard.

Kara Probeyahn, a member of the girls team said, “We didn’t do as well as we hoped but learned what we need to improve on and I am really looking forward to the next half of our season and hope to not lose anymore of our games.”

Another member of the girls basketball team, Fiona Rowan said, “We didn’t play to our potential at the tournament, but the second half of the season should hopefully show that we are the best in the county and state.”
