On October 3 a total of 19 colleges and post-high school career representatives came to Main Street for the annual college fair during all lunch shifts.

These colleges included Shippensburg University, Dickinson College, Hood College, Allegheny College of Maryland, Shenandoah University, Frederick Community College, Duquesne University, US Air Force, Penn State, Towson University, Army, Navy, Frostburg State University, Salisbury University, Stevenson University, University of South Carolina, Shepherd University, Mount St. Mary’s, and the Marines.

Juniors and seniors had the option to talk to college students and faculty about their college careers.

Hunter Wolfe talked to Jennifer Reid from Shenandoah University. Wolfe asked about the nursing program and how it could benefit her future.

“Having the colleges here helps me understand what my choices are and the pathway of what I can pursue,” said Wolfe.

Reid told Wolfe how her friend was in the nursing program and is now a full-time nurse.

“When I was applying, I only applied to one school. I didn’t know about all my options, so being here and helping students with find their perfect college fit is important to me,” said Reid.  She is a current student at Shenandoah University.

Most colleges had brochures and swag to take home.
