Senior Destinations 2018
Sierra Bennett has chosen Virginia Tech. The town of Blacksburg and the campus itself feels like home to her. Bennett loves the sense of community and how everyone is friendly.
“I plan to become a preschool teacher after college so I can teach young children and help them prepare for kindergarten,” said Bennett. Her major will be human development.
Bennett is looking forward to attending football games at the Lane Stadium and being able to cheer.
“Managing both cheer practices, homework, studying, and games will be a challenge for me, but I plan to handle this by using a calendar or a planner to write down all I have to do and stay organized so I can manage my time and make sure I get everything done,” said Bennett.
Bennett would like to thank her parents who have prepared her for college and have been extremely supportive to her from driving her back and forth to Blacksburg, helping her with her college applications, and cheering her on at football games.
“Mrs. Lane has been my source of light at Linganore because she has showed me how important preschool is for children to prepare them for their future. She has also been very supportive with my cheerleading career,” said Bennett.
Bennett will brighten other’s futures by being supportive of other sports teams, as well as staying positive and encouraging to my her friends and teammates so that they can always can do their best.
