Senior Destinations 2018
Lily Tate has chosen to attend the faith-based college in Lynchburg, Virginia, Liberty University, because they have an amazing nursing program and career opportunities for post-college students.
Tate plans to major in nursing with a specialty in trauma.
“I would like to pursue a career as a flight nurse or a trauma nurse at a top rated trauma center,” said Tate.
Tate is looking forward to getting to meet other people with the same interest in nursing and meeting some of the best doctors who save the lives of others on a daily basis.
“At Liberty I will have to keep a specific grade point average, and nursing school is hard, but with the foundational courses I took through FCC, I will have the basic work skills to tackle college course,” said Tate.
While at at Liberty, Tate would like to participate on the college’s equestrian team, as well as play the violin in one of their ensembles.
“My uncle gave me the opportunity to intern in his doctor’s office and learn basic nursing skills. I’d like to thank my family friends and teachers for helping me achieve my goals, especially Mrs. Purgason who really gave me the confidence in mathematics. She encouraged and helped me through Calulus 1-3,” said Tate.
