Senior Destinations 2018
Allison King decided on Duquesne University as her path to a bright future. She has family in Pittsburgh, she loves the city, its atmosphere and the people; it is the perfect place for her.
While at Duquesne, Allison plans to double major in biology and math, but she is also considering switching biology to business.
“I think that I can overcome any obstacle in college because I’m very persistent and hard-working. These qualities will help me out a lot in the future,” said King.
Ms. Jessica Baker and I are very close, and she has helped me throughout my four years. She was my field hockey coach and my teacher at one point, and we just have this great bond that we’ve formed,” said Allison.
Allison will turn to intramural and club sports in her free time. “I’ll still play sports in college when I can because I can’t just stop playing field hockey. It will be a great stress reliever for me and just a fun way to meet new people.”
“I’m really looking forward to the independence that college gives you. It’s a big step when you move on from living with your parents.”
While at Duquesne, Allison plans to join clubs, unified sports, and community service organizations in a new setting.
