FCPS is supporting breast cancer awareness today. We encourage everyone to wear pink to all sporting events this evening.
Juniors interested in science, medicine, computer programming, IT, computer graphics, bioinformatics, security, or scientific writing can apply for a summer internship with the National Cancer Institute at Ft. Detrick. The application deadline is December 14. See any science teacher or stop by C103 and talk to Mr. Brown or Ms. Radil-Harris for details.
There will be an informational meeting in A222, on Tuesday, November 13th right after school until 2:45 for anyone interested in learning more about it.
Linganore’s production of Almost Maine opens this Thursday! This is a show you don’t want to miss.
On Wednesday, November 14th, the Harry Potter Alliance is hosting a Quidditch match. If you are interested or have any questions, see Ms. Thompson in the learning commons.
The girls’ varsity field hockey team took an unfortunate loss to Oakdale last night. The final score was 1-0. Good job ladies!
Congratulations to our JV and Varsity cheer teams who both placed first last night against every other Frederick County high school. Last night was the 10th consecutive win for Linganore Varsity cheer at the county competition. Linganore cheerleaders will advance to semifinals this Saturday at Harford Community College at 6 pm.
Tonight the girls’ soccer team will be playing in the 3A West, the sectional semi-final against Tucsocora. The game starts at 6 pm at home.
The boys’ soccer team will also be playing tonight in the 3A West, the sectional semifinal against North Hagerstown. They will be playing at North Hagerstown at 6 pm.
