The 18th Annual Mr. Linganore contest “It’s a Royal Affair” will be on March 4 at 7:00 p.m. Lancer Media is covering each of the contestants leading up to the big day.

One of the 12 contestants for the crown, Patrick Finch is going to be portraying Darth Vader, from Disney’s Star Wars movie series.  He will be escorted by Meghan Adams.

“I wanted to do someone who was fun and represents me,” said Finch.

He has watched one other competition and talked with past competitors to get a feel how they feel. “Talking with the other competitors helped calm my nerves and ultimately made me decide that I wanted to do the competition,” said Finch.

His favorite part has been coming up with his talent and the UNO’s fundraiser, but he believes the hardest part will be performing in front of a live audience.

“I wanted to do Mr. Linganore because I wanted to end my senior year with a bang,” said Finch.

He is a member of SGA and 2017 Class Council.

Finch will be studying foreign affairs and national security at George Mason University.
