On September 27th, the Varsity Soccer team came into the competition with their record standing at 1-2. That night, the varsity team faced Governor Thomas Johnson High School at home.

Linganore was down 2-0 at half until senior Caleb Needle and sophomore Kojo Benefo both scored goals late in the second half. It was a defensive battle the entire game. Unfortunately, TJ scored again late in the game to put themselves up 3-2.

Defensive Back Lukas Snyder said, “We gave a ton of effort but struggled to get the result we wanted. In our next game, I think we need to try even harder and really give it all we’ve got.”

Next week, both JV and Varisty play against South Hagerstown at home on October 3. The games will start at 5:30 and 7:00.
