This game marks the third week of football season. Along with every football Friday, the tribe chooses a color or theme for the student section to coordinate with their attire.

To honor the 16th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the theme was an ‘America-out.’  The freshmen wore red, sophomores wore white, juniors wore blue and, of course, seniors wore anything and everything that was red white and blue.

“America-outs are my favorite theme for games. Walking out with a win made it that much better,” said junior Emily Sedgwick.

The game ended with a score of 50-28.  That makes the varsity football team undefeated this 2017-2018 season. It was a pressure-filled game, last season our varsity team defeated Westminster 42-14.

A star player in this game was Joey Felton with the first touchdown of the game.

“As I got ready to take the field, I felt an overwhelming sense of pride. We felt the energy of ever Lancer in the crowd and it made us feel unstoppable,” said Felton.

The game was off to a quick start, having two touchdowns in the first quarter while Westminster stayed close, finishing with one touchdown that quarter. Lancers led 36-14 at the half.

Next weekend the game will be at TJ high school at 7 PM.
