On January 30th our Unified Bocce Ball team went to Tuscarora High School to play in the District Tournament against other Frederick County schools.

At the end of the night, the team placed 4th in their heat and will not be advancing to states.

The final loss did not negate a successful season with wins against Frederick, Oakdale, and Tuscarora.

It was a strong team despite having only nine players.

Junior Jordan Specht who was a first-time player said, “My favorite part of bocce was when we were playing against the different teams, and everyone would cheer for both teams. It was also amazing to see all the players.”

The sport is over, but the friendships will continue.

If you are curious about Unified Sports, students can check out the Unified Track and Field team. Everyone is welcome participate.
