Thomas Lang made a strong first impression at the Mr. Linganore pageant with his entrance as Rocky Balboa. Dressed in a grey sweats outfit, he ran around the auditorium, slowly attracting young children to emerge from their seats and chase after him like the infamous training scene from the movie, Rocky II.

The music was uplifting and victorious. Onstage, the children gathered around Lang, cheering “Rocky!” over and over.

During the formal wear portion of the night, Lang was dressed in an all-white tux white blue accents, and he was escorted by senior Maggie Hall.

Maggie Hall made another appearance as character, Gabriella, during Lang’s talent, a dance to High School Musical basketball song, “Get Your Head in the Game,” choreographed by senior Emily Rieland. The song was quite fitting for the LHS record-setting basketball player who broke the all-time school scoring record during this season.

“All of the people in my talent were great. Emily did a great job choreographing,” said Lang.  Several of the other contestants and many friends supported Lang in his talent.

Lang received second place in the talent section scores.

Lang said, “Everything about the night of the event was awesome. My best memory is just the entire night as a whole.”
