On 2/24/16, twenty-eight juniors and seniors were inducted into the social studies honor society, Rho Kappa.

One benefit of joining the honor society is that students get to network and meet other people who share their passion for history, current events, sociology and psychology.

Students in the society influence decisions about deciding activities and fundraisers.

Like most honor societies, members must be juniors or seniors and have taken/or will be taking six courses in social studies.

Aaron Burch, the society’s co-adviser said, “It’s all about the students. It’s all about them and their enthusiasm for the class.”

Inductee Kasal Smaha said he is looking forward to being around “like-minded people.”

This year’s officers include President Evan Avila, Vice President Maria Pellicier, and Secretary Madeline Wodaski.
