Mr. Linganore 2016: Schmidt channels his inner Bond

The name’s Schmidt. Carter Schmidt.
Carter Schmidt snuck into the theater, sniped the bad guys (Jake France and Brett Cruickshank,) and rescued the girl (Emily Rieland,) who rewarded him with a bright red kiss on the cheek.
Schmidt attracted another senior lady, Kiley Cross, who escorted him during the formal wear portion of the evening and partnered with him during the Hustle and the dance to “It’s Raining Men.”
Cross also made Schmidt “shape up” as they danced to hits from the musical Grease, such as “Summer Nights,” “Born to Hand Jive,” and “You’re the One That I Want.”
They weren’t alone. Cross was accompanied by Pink Ladies (Emily Rieland, Elena Guardia, Harper Lindsay, and Rachel Huston,) and Schmidt danced with his greaser buddies (Noah Garabedian, Jake France, Jake Butehorn, and Brett Cruickshank.)
Cross even had a costume change from her innocent poodle skirt to bad-to-the-bone pleather pants with red high heels.
“I was used to being in front of crowds because of basketball, but it was fun to be doing something different in front of so many people and being their source of entertainment,” said Schmidt. “My best memory from the night was my talent. I have never really been in a dance before, and it was a lot of fun.”
