I got a fever, and the only solution is more Mr. Linganore.

Matt Watson chose Einstein as his trendsetter of choice for the Mr. Linganore 2016 pageant.

“Like Einstein, I’m smart and a little quirky,” said Watson.

We saw his quirky, silly side as he performed his talent skit, “More Cowbell,” famous from Saturday Night Live. The skit pokes fun at the song “(Dont Fear) The Reaper” by the band Blue Oyster Cult and the subtle cowbell embedded in the song.

Watson was escorted by his girlfriend Maria Pellicier.

“Besides the fact that she’s my girlfriend, I chose Maria because she’s so pretty, and we have good chemistry for dancing,” Watson said.

Watson was one of the three finalists in the competition. During his final question, “How do you combat the negativity and divisions that social media creates?” Watson replied simply, “With positivity!”

He went on to explain that you don’t even need to use negativity toward others being negative. Rather, we should all show positivity to others as much as we can. In his own words, “Positivity rocks!”

Watson was named first runner up. He was completely satisfied with the way the night turned out.

Watson said, “I honestly can’t pick a best memory. The whole night went so great, and the experience as a whole is an awesome memory.”
