LHSsees2020: Ben Iwanski continues to run toward University of Oregon

Totaling a 42-hour non-stop drive from Linganore to campus, Ben Iwanski will be attending the University of Oregon in August to become a Duck.

Following in the footsteps of his three older siblings, he decided to go far from home to continue his education.

“I initially looked at Oregon because all of my siblings went to big and well-known schools, and I just thought it would be something really cool and different,” explained Iwanski.

Iwanski will be studying marketing and business.

Aside from academics, Iwanski is hoping to get involved athletically as well.

“I’m going to try to get involved in sports there. I’m thinking about trying out for the football team.”

Feeling excited to meet new people, Iwanski is ready for his future adventures at UO.

Iwanski says the Friday night lights will be the what he misses the most when he’s on the West Coast.

“The thing I’ll miss the most is the community that surrounds Linganore, and. of course, how everyone comes together during football season.”
