Students buy the new Burrito Bowls at Linganore High School
Starting 11-2, there are new items on the lunch menu- Burritos and Burrito Bowls.
A burrito bowl is all of the ingredients in a regular burrito placed inside of a tortilla shell in the shape of a bowl. The student walks down the cafeteria line and selects the ingredients he or she likes.
Don’t worry school lunch lovers, the regular school lunch is still available if you’re not a burrito fan.
“I would definitely recommend them to a friend.” Said Rowan Gallagher, Class of 2020.
“It’s a big hit,” said Donna Bishop, a cafeteria employee. “It’s just as easy as preparing a school lunch.”
Oakdale and Brunswick high schools piloted the menu items beginning in August 2016.
