Attention all students starting an internship second semester:  This is a reminder that orientation for interns is today at 4:00 pm in room C101.  See Mr. Brown or Ms. Radil-Harris, if you have questions.

This is a reminder that Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) meets tonight at the FCPS Earth and Space Science Laboratory at 7:00 pm.  This group is open to all females in grades 9-12  interested in learning about science and engineering careers.  The guest speaker is Dr. Joannie Chin, acting deputy director, NIST Engineering Laboratory, who will be discussing polymer science.  See Mr. Brown or Ms. Radil-Harris for more information.

Attention sophomores and juniors:  If you are interested in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM), you are invited to apply for a summer internship at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab.  You would work on a technical STEM project for 6-8 weeks with a mentor’s assistance.  This is a very unique opportunity to expand your technical skills.  For information about this program, stop by room C103 sometime this week to talk to Ms. Radil-Harris or Mr. Brown.

Attention dancers, singers, and actors:  The Drama department will be holding auditions for the spring musical “The Sound of Music” on January 19th, 20th and 21st.  Sign up and audition information is posted outside of the drama room D101.  Please see Mr. Lazarus or Mr. Norko with questions.
