Today is Thursday, September 8, 2016

The Science National Honor Society will be meeting in Mr. Sunkel’s room A139 tomorrow during PREP.  Students must sign up in Mr. Sunkel’s room to attend this meeting.

Anyone wishing to come to the Media Center during PREP must sign-up in the Media Center and be requested.  A limited number of students may come each day and preference will be given to collaborative groups and those needing to research.  If you are not requested by the Media Center, you will not be admitted.  Any questions should be directed to Ms. Thompson in the Media Center.

Attention seniors: Be sure to ask your parents if they have ordered your baby ad yet for the yearbook! The discount deadline is fast approaching on Friday, September 16th! You can pick up an extra order form outside of room A206, or download one from the LHS website under “Yearbook Information”.

Any student who has a locker must have it secured with a lock by TODAY!   All unsecured lockers will be zip-locked on Friday.

Seniors:  If you didn’t have your senior portrait taken over the summer and you haven’t yet received an appointment card from Victor O’Neill Studios for your make up session next week, please see Mrs. Shapiro in the front office.  Next Monday, September 12, and Tuesday, September 13, are the only dates available for make ups.  They will take place after school from 2:30-8:30 pm.

Underclass pictures are scheduled for today and Friday!  The schedule has been posted on Main Street, so make sure to check it out to see when you’ve been scheduled.  Please see the front office, if you have any questions.

Now for sports news for today…

Unified tennis practice starts today from 2:45-3:45 pm.  Please meet outside on the tennis courts. You must have a copy of your physical to practice.

Girls basketball will be having open gym Saturday, September 10, from 10:00 -11:30 am. If you are interested in playing basketball in the winter, you are welcome to attend open gym.

The JV field hockey team lost a close game yesterday, 2-0, at the hands of Quince Orchard.

The JV football team was victorious over Governor Thomas Johnson with a decisive win of 41-12.
