Any student who is interested in applying for Mu Alpha Theta (Linganore’s National Mathematics Honor Society) should pick up an application outside of room A140. Applications are due Friday, September 9th. Please see Mrs. Purgason with any questions.

The Student Activity Fair, hosted by the SGA, will be held today during all lunch shifts.   You will have the opportunity to visit booths/displays from student clubs and sign up for the clubs you would like to participate in for this school year.

Having a little trouble in one of your core classes?  After school tutoring is available in room C204 Monday through Thursday from 2:15-3:30 pm with Mrs. York.  The LHS English, Math, and National Honor Societies are there to help. Everyone is welcome and  no appointments are needed!

On Thursday, September 1st, there will be a National Art Honor Society meeting after school at 2:30 pm in room A 211. All members and anyone interested in joining should attend. Students must have four art credits by the end of their senior year to be eligible.

Students are encouraged to log on to Naviance and check out your college visit options and scholarship information that is currently available. There is new information being posted daily.  Please visit your Naviance account regularly to review the opportunities available.  Check out this valuable information!  It is yours for the taking. If you have additional questions, see your guidance counselor.

Cast and crew are wanted for the LHS fall play, The Nightmare Zone, a series of three short plays including, Mind Games, The Lottery, and The Actor’s Nightmare.  Sign up sheets are posted in the D hallway and auditions will be held on September 7th, in room D101.

There will be a 10th grade class assembly with Josten’s this Friday during PREP to go over your different class ring choices.  They will distribute materials for you to review and will return September 12th and 13th to collect your orders.  Payment is not expected at this time.

Today at 5:30 pm, the girls JV soccer team takes on Winston Churchill here at home.  At 7:00 pm, the Varsity team takes the field to scrimmage the Bulldogs. Come out and cheer the lady Lancers on to victory.
