On May 5, 2015 the girls softball team hosted their second annual “Playoff Bracket Bash” at Buffalo Wild Wings in Frederick. The fundraiser helped raise money for the softball program and celebrated the team entering the regional playoffs as the number one seed.

The Lancers will enter the class 3A West Section 1 playoffs with a record of 13-4. Head coach, Ms. Andrea Poffinberger  says, “I’m looking forward to seeing how the development throughout the season pays off in a high pressure situation.” Because of their outstanding performance this season, the team will not have to play until the sectional quarterfinals.

The Frederick News Post posted an article on Lancers Softball and how two Frederick County teams, the Knights and the Lancers will enter playoffs as top seeds. Read it here.

The softball team will play at home on Monday May 11 at 4:30. Be sure to come out and support them as they will take on the winner of the Tuscarora vs South Hagerstown game.
