Kyle Fayhey asks Kaylee Henry to prom.

With prom tickets on sale this week, students are scrambling to make arrangements regarding everything from apparel to transportation. One of the biggest arrangements on the minds of both girls and boys is who to go with. Some people choose to go with a large group of friends; others don’t mind simply riding solo for the night. Those who choose to go with a date have even more to take into consideration: How will I ask or be asked?

On the morning of Wednesday, April 15, Junior Kyle Fahey promposed to sophomore Kaylee Henry after first period. He had a sign that read, “I hope I’m not too late. Will you be my prom date?” He had also brought her a drink and donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts.

Kaylee had known that the promposal was going to happen that day.

She said, “I wasn’t surprised that he was going to ask me. He told me he was planning on asking. When he sent me a text at the end of first period saying he had something for me, I knew that he was going to ask.”

Kyle knew to get her Dunkin’ Donuts because she always says how it’s her favorite. He also said, ” I got her two donuts, but I ate one before I promposed.”

Kaylee has already purchased her dress and can’t wait for the big night.
